STAFF FICTION PICKS - Two of the new books in our collection that our staff members particularly liked were Predator by Patricia Cornwell, Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly. Also this month is the new book by Stuart Woods, Iron Orchid and first time author Michael Baden's new book Remains Silent . Check out the brand new series by Jan Coffey. Great quick mysteries to read. We are constantly receiving new reading materials. Here are some of the titles the staff have enjoyed reading: Lee Child's One Shot, Point Break by Catherine Coulter, Chill of Fear by Kay Hooper, Midnight in Death by J.D. Robb, Impossible by Danielle Steel, and anything by Stuart Woods.
LOVE LISTENING TO MUSIC CDs? - We are expanding our selection of CDs with many different types of music. For example, if you like classical music, we have music from the great composers such as Schubert, Mozart, and Wagner--just to name a few. We also have in our collection CDs by the popular American Idol stars Ruben Studdard and Kelly Clarkson. If soundtracks appeal to you, we have the O Brother, Where Art Thou soundtrack. For rock music enthusiasts we offer Evanescence Fallen and Rock Steady by No Dount. Other choices include country selections, opera selections and older favorites from performers such as Sarah Vaughn. These CDs can be checked out just like a book for a two-week lending period. Next time you have the urge to listen to some new music or maybe to try a type of music that you are not really familiar with, remember the library.
DVDs ON THE SHELF - Please stop by the library to see the selection of DVDs. Some of the popular new titles in our collection are Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Interpreter starring Nicole Kidman, and the very popular Racing Stripes. Shrek 2 is funny no matter what age you are. We also have some older titles such as John Wayne's True Grit, Dr. Zhivago with Julie Christie, and Pillow Talk with Doris Day and Rock Hudson.
