Winter Reading Program on the Way!

    Starting January 30, 2012, our second annual Winter Reading Program will begin.  The program will be divided into 3 levels: K-3rd Grade, 4th-8th Grade, and 9th-12th Grade.  The theme for the K-3rd Grade and 9th-12th Grade sections will again be "Read to a BINGO!"  BINGO cards may be downloaded below or picked up in person at the library.

     The 4th-8th Grades have the opportunity to be part of something very special.  They will have the opportunity to vote for the Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award.  ONLY 4TH-8TH GRADERS IN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS GET TO VOTE FOR THIS AWARD!! Their BINGO card is also available for download below or can be picked up in person at the library. We will be having Caudill Book Talks February 2 & Februry 9 at 3:15-4:45 P.M. LME Biggest Loser

If you are a fan of The Biggest Loser reality show, now is your chance to compete in our local version. The LME Biggest Loser (season 3!) program runs from January 11-February 29th and can help you to shed pounds and get fit. Weekly weigh-ins start Jan 11 and will be at the library on Wednesdays between 10a-8p. Inclement Weather Closings

It appears that winter has finally arrived with it's snow and bad weather. Due to poor weather and road conditions the library may close for the safety of our staff and patrons. Watch the WEEK News 25 closings announcements and this website for information about when the library may be closed or closing early.  You can also call us at 385-4540 to inquire.

If the library should close, fines for items due that day will be waived.
